Sealed with Love

 photo 2016 12-20 Succeed Weekly sans a_zpsocpfcu4v.jpg

Are you ready for some cute Valentine's ideas?  The technique that stole my heart the most was the ombre effect with the sponge brayer.  On any light colored paper, you can create the most beautiful ombre effects.

photo Blog-1_zps5bqkvaux.png  This card is for the Casual Stamper.  I purposely placed the items on the card at an angle so I wouldn't have to worry about making things straight.

photo Blog-2_zpssrxfhopt.png  This treat bag is for the Avid Stamper.  I used these colors, in this order, to get the ombre effect:  Real Red + Flirty Flamingo + Pink Pirouette.  When doing ombre, I find it's easiest to start with the lightest color first and then work your way to the darkest color.  Gorgeous!

photo Blog-3_zpsntkptr7a.png  This treat bag is also for the Casual Stamper.  The Scalloped Tag Topper Punch is for more than making tags.  Punch each side of a strip of paper and write it around a cello bag.  Cute!

Do you have this set?  Show me what you came up with.

Let me know what you think!

February is over.  OVER!

Weird.

If you haven't tried your hand at watercoloring, you MUST!  I am not a painter.  I wouldn't consider myself an artist.  But I can dip paint in water and splatter it around.  That's enough for me.

The key to this type of cardmaking and scrapbooking (watercolor background) is to WAIT until the ink is dry before you stamp anything on it.  Patience is key.

Another helpful hint:  I stamp my little clear block into my ink and then get the ink off the block with my aqua painter.  This keeps the inside if your stamp pad clean AND I think it's easier to get the amount of color you need for your watercoloring.

Did you see my facebook project for the Stampin' Up! board?  In case you missed it, here it is:

I love banners.  Ok, let's be honest, I pretty much love ANYTHING that has been strung together.  When I saw the Kaleidoscope Designer Series Paper I was mentally transported back to the 3rd grade.  These colors are SO 1992 and now 2014!!

To create this banner, just straight stitch your punched images together.
Easy peasy.   photo 2014-02-Artisan-3color_zps4afeb14d.png   photo 201402Artisan3bcopy_zps6807fc4d.jpg   photo 201402Artisan3ccopy_zps9a01ea17.jpg   photo 201402Artisan3dcopy_zpsbcc228e7.jpg

To make these super cute hearts simply punch out the heart, fold it in half, then adhere it to your card.  This way it'll create a great 3-D effect.

Painting on wood is SO easy!!  I only paint 1 coat of paint and then sand the edges.

Love Letters Block = 4.125" x 3".
To create your stands, here is the formula:
Circle base + candlestick base + hybrid block + knob.
Is it a knob?  I don't know what it really is.
Cute.  Yes, just cute topper.
