This is my facebook project for the Stampin' Up! board for October:

I love Fall!  In Utah the leaves turn vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows before they fall off the trees to welcome Winter.  We are having unseasonably warm weather so far so I felt it was only fitting to create a bright, warm, sparkly card.

*note*  To create the banner that goes around the circles under the 'thx' simply choose two sizes of circles to layer.  My biggest circl is 2".  The part of the banner that is going to go over the circles needs to measure 1/8" bigger than your biggest circle.  So mine is 2-1/8" between the scores lines.  Score 1/4" on either side of your banner so it folds under your circle.  Does that make sense?  If not, I might have to make a video tutorial.

I've said it before and I'll say it again:

I. Love. Decorating. Wood.

This little gem was only $2.25 at the Wood ConnectionCHEAP!  Decorating this acorn was so easy.  Now I want to get a bunch more and place them around the house.  It's the perfect size at only 4-3/4" tall.

LOVE!
Instead of painting the outer edge I used the Sweater Weather DSP and it added just the right amount of color/design.

Is it really October already?  Since I'm *trying* to stay a month ahead on project, it should be no suprise that even though we'll be eating TONS of candy for Halloween, all projects will be about giving thanks, fall, and harvest.

I. Am. In. Love.

This is probably one of the easiest cards to create.

To get the cool look of the leaves, separate 1 leaf.  How do you do that?  Smash, crinkle, and crumple your paper.  You'll notice that the edges of your leave are starting to separate and peel apart from each other.  Slowly peel the papers apart to get 2 leaves.  Squish/fold the middle of the leave so it gives it a little more dimension and helps it to pop off the page.  Glue dots and dimensionals on the back will help your leaf stay put.
