Welcome to our (the 2013 Artisan Design Team) monthly blog hop!  Whether you're starting here or coming from Erica's page, I'm happy you're here.  In the comments section of my blog, you can participate in this theme by posting a link to your project using our same theme.  Then everyone can see what you've made too!  The one thing you can count on is that our projects will be fancy!

The theme for this month is MANLY.   You can interpret it however you'd like.

I'm excited to see what you create!

Did you miss me?  A lot has been going on in my personal life.  I had knee surgery, which I've needed to have for 6 years, and my husband had a drastic (amazing) job change.  I feel like my whole life has been turned upside down for the better.

At any rate, I'm BACK!

I interpreted MANLY as anything I would give to any of the men in my life.  I discovered a few months ago that my father-in-law keeps all the cards I make him.  Awwww!  I didn't even know that he cared.  I assumed he tossed the cards with the rest of the wrapping paper.

My father-in-law isn't keen on sparkles so I thought foil would look great.
What I like to do is adhere a piece of foil TO a scrap piece of cardstock.
Then run it through your Big Shot with your embossing folder.
This way you can easily adhere your foil sheet to anything else
without ruining your new foil impression.

Add a little stitching and a woodcut and you're set!
A super easy card for any man in your life.

  3. Glad to see you creating again. Love the foil idea. Since I don't use it in the kitchen maybe I should use it like this. AWESOME!!
