Facebook Friday for Artisans

Welcome to the December Blog Hop for the Artisan Facebook projects!  Did you just come from Heidi's blog?  Everything she creates inspires me.  Fo' realz.

This is my facebook project for the Stampin' Up! Artisan board:

Stampin’ Up! has the most beautiful fabric!  Mix it with some super soft minky and chevrons and VIOLA!  The cutest and softest quilt on the planet!  This quilt was a very simple design.  I used only the yellow fabric from the Essentials Designer Fabric and two packets of the Floral District Designer Fabric.  I followed this tutorial: Chevron Quilt Tutorial (mostly).
My finished quilt measures approximately 59” 53.5”.  I am only 5’1” so this is perfect for me to wrap up in on the couch (or in my stamp room while I'm crafting like I am right now.)  I am NOT a professional quilter nor do I claim to be.  So be kind.  Create your own beautiful quilt with Stampin’ Up!’s gorgeous coordinating fabric today!

  2. Hi Jane! I'm part of our queens blog and was hoping to comment on your quilt there and ask a few questions. But it won't let me leave you a comment there?? Weird huh?
I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LLOOOOOVE this quilt and have been wanting to make one with the candy cane fat quarters. I'm curious how you did the strips out of fat quarters. Any tips would be sooo greatly appreciated. I'm a beginner and have only done 1 quilt in my life. I looked at the tutorial you used, but she didn't use fat quarters. Feel free to email me if that is easier:
