Here is my Stampin' Up! Artisan Facebook post:
This project says everything without
saying anything at all. It’s very rare
that I create something that doesn’t have a sentiment on it. It’s pretty handy to create cards without
sentiments because then you can use them for anything. I am having a little obsession with creating
my own envelopes lately. Have you
noticed? There’s just something so much
more personal when you’ve created the envelope to match your card. To create your own custom envelopes, take any
envelope and open it up. Then trace it on
your desired paper and reassemble. With
this envelope, I turned it sideways and left the top open so you could pull the
note card out the top. Where did I get
those super cute small hexagons? We have
a sheet in the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper that matches these hexagons
but they’re big. This is what I
did: open up the Tea for Two paper in
MDS and shrink the image to 50% of the original size. Then I printed it out on Very Vanilla
Cardstock and cut out the hexagons.
EASY!! Also, when I put the
packing paper on my note card, I used Glue Dots in select locations to hold the
paper to the card so the paper is still allowed to puff up and pop off the card
without falling off. It gives the note a
lot of dimension that it wouldn’t have otherwise. LOVE it!!
*note* When you need a color of seam binding that you don’t have, color
the Very Vanilla Seam Binding with a Stampin’ Write Marker. Perfect every time.
