This is the post I created for the Stampin' Up! facebook Artisan board:
If I had to give this
post a title it would be, “Ode to the Embossing Folder,” or, “Ode to the In
Colors.” Seriously, if you don’t have
the embossing folders or the In Colors yet, you are really missing out. Embossing your paper will add the texture you
need to make your projects pop. I inked
my embossed images by laying the paper lightly on top of the ink pad. Then lightly press on the paper so the ink
only sticks to the embossed part of your paper.
Try this with some scrap paper first so you can figure out how much
pressure you will need to get the desired look.
You will love the results. I
promise. I used 20 layers of the White
Creped Filter Paper on the big flower on the bottom banner but only 10 layers
on each flower in the middle section.
*note* There is a brad in the center of each flower. On top of the brad is a small circle cut from
the Jumbo Sticky Rounds. Then stick your
Baker’s Twine on top of that in a circular pattern.
There are a TON of pictures, so enjoy!!

Do you follow me on Pinterest? You can.

I could have looked at your post for hours, just taking in the little details. You are so inspiring. I kept thinking that I wish I had an old door to decorate, and suddenly I remembered that I have an old window frame in my front foyer, that I walk by and ignore all the time. It's been decorated the same for years. Time to change that up!! I could do something seasonal, or add photos of my grandkids (like I always planned to when I bought it). Thanks for your great ideas. you made my day :)
