I am a scrap junkie.
Really.
I know it.
I own it.
I embrace it.
I keep every little scrap of paper... just in case I can use it somewhere later. I also get inspired by the mess on my craft desk. Tell me I'm not the only one. Don't you ever just see some scraps of paper and an ink pad in a pile and you think,"Yes, this is it!" That's what happened to me when I was trying to think of what to create for this post. I ordered the Dude, You're Welcome! kit because it is SO cool. It comes in a sleek black box AND the stamps are pre-mounted.
Love that!! This set "speaks" to me. Maybe it's the "# % & @ !" I don't know. Something about this set is SO me.
What is the solution to needing something you don't have? Create your own. Hence, washi tape. With an embossing folder, ink pad, and paper of the same color, you can make some really cool washi tape. I had a lot of fun playing around with this.
These cards have all of my favorite elements: bright colors, scraps, banners, chevrons, polka dots, and ink splatters.
Each card was created 100% from scrap paper. I know: you're probably thinking how odd it is for me to not add a single ribbon or any embellishments. I think adding a ribbon or accessory might be too much. And look at it this way: you could easily give one of these cards to a man without having him think it was "girly." Am I right?? I will say that I am in love with these cards and I will be making a lot more to keep in my stash to give away.
Envelopes? Who needs 'em? Let your scraps hang off the edges. I like that. You could put these cards in a transparent envelope, if you want. They're just so cool it's hard to hide them away in an envelope.
